Let's Organize Those Movies

Do you ever feel completely overwhelmed by all the movie cases you have and how cumbersome they are to take with you glamping?  I did.

I was OVER it!

You don't want to take a handful, because who knows what you will want to watch?  However, you can't take your whole library of movies with you, or can you?

I was up in the middle of the night, because why would I want to sleep?  Did a little Pinterest investigation into storage ideas and kinda schmooshed (that's a word, right?) those ideas together to find something that worked for me.

Things I purchased:

CD/DVD Sleeves

CD/DVD File Guides

Fabric Storage Bins

Avery Labels

I purchased 2 of the file guides, so I could use the 2nd package for movie groupings.  For movies with 3 or more, tv series, or "universes" (Marvel, DC) I have them separate from the regular alphabet organizing and in watch order.  I simply used my labels to label them as such.  The pre-written letter or wording I just blacked out with a black Sharpie and put the label directly below the tab portion (see photo below).

I ordered 400 of the sleeves and have about 80 leftover.  Most of those are doubled with the DVD in the front part of the sleeve and Blu-Ray in the back side of the sleeve.  I used 2 bins for A-Z with plenty of room in the 2nd bin for more and I used a 3rd bin for the collections.

My little organizational heart is very pleased with the outcome.

It makes taking DVD's from the house to the RV much easier and we never have to worry there will be a movie we want to watch that we left at home.

Check it out!
