We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat... I Mean Truck

 Last July we upgraded from a 2018 Rockwood 8327SS Signature Ultra Lite to a 2021 Crusader 382MBH.

Upgrading from a travel trailer to a fifth wheel was a big upgrade.  We went from towing 35.5' to 43.5', so just a touch longer. We finished out the 2021 camping season with our 2019 Ford F350 Diesel.  We knew that we were just about at our weight limit and that meant very carefully packing for trips.

We camp a lot in Cooks Forest, PA and for anyone that knows the area knows there are steep hills.  After our first trip out in 2022 we decided that for those type of hills the safer option was to upgrade to a dually Ford F450 Diesel.  Our truck is dual purpose it is a work truck and plow truck for our landscaping/plowing business and our tow vehicle.  So, my husband is very specific about what he wants.

Of course with the current vehicle situation finding a truck isn't as easy as it was a couple years ago.  We checked locally and there was nothing.  We were able to find a 2022 Silver one at Ricart Ford in Groveport, OH, approx. 3.5 hours away.  So, we took a Saturday and went up and traded in our 2019.  My husband actually loved that 2019 and while he is like most other men and loves bigger he would have been happy to keep that if it would have fit our needs.
